Student programme alumni furthering their careers in the agri sector

We have endeavoured to maintain conduct with our programme alumni and have been encouraged to learn that 66 % were either employed or completing another internship at the time of writing and 93 % have remained in the agricultural sector.

Although the unemployment figure is high this must be tempered with the fact that many of these individuals have just completed a contract and are awaiting approval of new applications that they have submitted.

A quarter of the students have been given positions on the farms on which they were placed while in our programme which suggests we are succeeding in identifying candidates with a future in this field.

We cannot thank our partners enough for the loyal support they have offered our initiative for the past 5 years despite the uncertain times and challenges we are facing in our country.

In this regard we would like to acknowledge Pannar Seed for recommitting their role as primary funders of our student in-service training progamme for 2023. Their generous contribution allows us to be able to offer our students a stipend each month in order for them to cover their living expenses while away from home.
