Past student, Walter Khumalo, excels abroad

One of our top students, Walter Khumalo, completed our in-service training programme in late 2018 and was then given a one year internship on a dairy farm in California, USA through the Future Farmers Foundation. Walter worked and lived with a small staff contingent made up entirely of international interns from Tanzania, Brazil, India and Uganda and developed great patience overcoming the language barrier. The owners of the farm felt he was their best student to date and offered him a managerial position within four months of the start of his contract. He has now returned to South Africa and has been given a junior manager position on the dairy farm on which he completed his in-service training.  We wish him everything of the best for a successful career!
